Mark Bates JP, BCom, CA, Registered Tax Agent

Director

Mark is a Director of Macmillans Waller Fry and has established relationships with clients in various industries including transport, mining,  retail, wholesale, manufacturing, professional and medical services.

Mark takes a hands on approach to providing solutions to clients to improve their business and to help them achieve their financial and lifestyle goals.

Mark is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Registered Tax Agent, Justice of the Peace and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his young family and a social game of golf.

Warren Jeffries JP, BCom, FCA, Registered Tax Agent

Director

Warren is a Director of Macmillans Waller Fry and works with many local businesses to assist them build their businesses and achieve their personal financial goals.

Warren is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Registered Tax Agent, a Registered Auditor and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle. He is also a registered financial planner and is a representative of the Madison Financial Group.

Away from work, Warren enjoys spending time with his family and working in the garden.

Margaret Peters JP, MNIA, Registered Tax Agent

Business Services Accountant

Margaret  has been a key member of the team at Macmillans for many years. She has spent this time looking after businesses in many different industries, including primary production and freight as well as many generations of individuals. Margaret is a registered tax agent and a member of the National Institute of Accountants. In the time she has away from the office, Margaret enjoys spending time with her great nieces and nephews and taking the occasional holiday.

Trent Fuller BCom, ATIA

Business Services Accountant

Trent joined the Macmillans team in 2005 after successfully completing his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle. Since then Trent has worked hard to become an Associate Member of the Australian Institute of Taxation. Trent has gained extensive experience in the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for small to medium enterprises, superannuation funds and individuals. In his spare time, Trent coaches junior sporting teams as well as spending time on the field himself in cricket and soccer.

Bob Cass

Business Services Accountant

Bob has worked in many industries over the years, gaining a vast amount of accounting experience. His most notable tenures were in motor vehicle retailing, including heavy vehicles, large construction companies and even a stint in the national service. Bob has worked in the accounting industry for many years and is even one of the few accountants who is proficient in pounds, shillings and pence. He still remembers the conversion to decimal currency as one of the highlights of his career. This experience places Bob in a good position to work with a number of businesses in the mine contracting, transport and retail sectors. Bob enjoys a book and a game of bowls on his days off.

Patrick Healey

Business Services Accountant

Patrick comes to Macmillans after spending time working in the IT industry. He looks after the various software systems including BankLink and works with many clients to improve their systems, as well as providing support. He has recently attained BankLink Gold Certified Specialist status. Patrick is currently completing a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Newcastle and assists a number of clients with their day to day accounting and taxation needs. Patrick has lived in Maitland all his life and enjoys getting to know as many people in the area as he can. When away from work, Patrick works with a number of community groups and enjoys the odd game of tennis.

Stephanie Cant

Trainee Accountant

Stephanie is the newest addition to our accounting team and has commenced her role asa trainee accountant. She is currently studying Commerce at the University of Newcastle and she looks forward to gaining plenty of hands on experience within Macmillans Waller Fry. In her spare time, Stephanie is a movie buff. Her favourite TV shows are Friends and Lano & Woodley.

Lorraine Morrisson

Administration

Lorraine has been a valuable member of the Macmillans team for several years, in varying roles. Lorraine currently looks after invoicing and other administration functions. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren

 

Lyn Watson

Administration & Reception

As a stay at home Mum with two children going off to school, Lyn decided to join the workforce. Lyn found her career path when joining Macmillans Waller Fry several years ago as an assistant to the admin team. Now, she looks after the admin needs of the whole Macmillans Waller Fry team. A key part of Lyn's role includes new company formations and liaising with clients for ASIC matters. Working closely with our clients and accounting team, Lyn is one of the friendly faces ready to greet you when you visit the office. She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and now grown up children (when they are home!).
